Historical Community Hall for Hire in Edge Hill"Progress Towards 100 Years - 2023"
Edge Hill Whitfield Progress Association is one of the oldest community halls in Cairns and was established in 1923 by the local residents for a variety of leisure activities run by different organisations.

Dance Classes
We have our regular Merry Makers Dancing on Saturday nights. Or make a booking for your own dance classes.
Children's Play Group
There are children’s play groups available for different age groups, and run by community members.
Yoga Sessions
Come on in and join our healthy and active yoga sessions. Yoga sessions are open to all members of the community.
Longstanding Traditions
At almost 100 years old, our beautiful community hall has seen some interesting times and is full of character. During World War II it was used for Air Force communications and sand was spread across the floor to prevent it being damaged by soldiers’ boots.
These days the hall pays for itself with regular bookings. Our current project is "Progress Towards 100 Years" for 2023 by holding fundraising events, Saturday night dancing and grant assessments.

Our Heritage Hall
At almost 100 years old, our beautiful community hall will be going through renovations over the next three years. All these improvements are working towards our 100 year celebrations in 2023. We understand the importance of our heritage significance of the building and these upgrades will preserve the building for future years.
